We have put in place certain protocols to protect you and our dental team.
This will result in changes to the way we provide dentistry.
PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP AT THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT.
On attending the practice you will be asked a series of questions.
If any of these questions apply to you please contact the surgery before attending.
- Have you been diagnosed with Covid -19 ?
- Have you been in contact with anyone with confirmed Covid -19 ?
- Have you shown any symptoms in the last 7 days, including: A high temperature – over 37.7 A new continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste ?
- Have people in your household been Covid-19 free in the last 14 days?
When you attend for your appointment please arrive 10 minutes before your allotted time, DO NOT ENTER THE PRACTICE, please remain in your car or wait outside.
We ask that you attend wearing a mask or some sort of nose and mouth covering.
A member of our team will greet you and ask some questions, take your temperature and all being well we will then ask you to sanitise your hands before entry into the practice.
If you have mobility problems please inform staff when booking your appointment so we can make provision for you to enter the practice earlier.
Please if possible do not use our toilet facilities unless absolutely necessary. This again is for your own protection and ours.
Our waiting room no longer offers magazines, children’s toys and so forth as these items are difficult to clean.
To adhere to social distancing we have markers on the floor and screens on reception for protection.
Appointments will be managed to allow social distancing between patients that might mean you are offered fewer options for appointment times.
Once treatment is finished please sanitise your hands and when at reception please endeavour to use Credit / Debit card for payment.
To exit the practice you will be using the rear door to avoid contact with other patients, exceptions again will be people with mobility problems who will be invited to use the front door.
We ask for your patience with this new routine.
Everything we do is to make your treatment with us as safe as possible.
These protocols will continue while we are affected by the Covid 19 Pandemic and all practices have been advised to follow them to reduce spread of the virus.
Due to the Pandemic and the need for additional protection for our patients and staff, we have had to acquire specialised PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
Whilst we have invested in filtration machines and absorbed the cost of Enhanced PPE for some treatments unfortunately, if you require an AGP (Aerosol Generating Procedure) there will be an additional charge of £30 until further notice.
